We take Microsoft's latest ride for a spin at San Diego Comic-Con.
Turn 10 has also done something quite remarkable with the in-game soundtrack for Forza 5. Rather than just relying on licensed rock tracks, it has instead created an orchestration for the game in its entirety, heightening and lowering depending on your driving experience. In other words, it actually plays along with you, which is really something cool.
Last but not least, Forza 5 has a new addition with the Drivatar system. Here, your driving skills and feats are kept track of through the Xbox Live service, so you can see how you rank against the rest of the world with ease. In addition, when you're not racing, your virtual self will still be ranking up, and challenges can still be received, so when you do log back in, there's something waiting for you. At first, it sounds a bit concerning – the game playing without you?! – but in truth, it really helps establish your online persona, and gives you new goals to shoot towards.
Forza Motorsport 5 is looking like one sweet ride. If you need conviction to help you get an Xbox One, this could be the game to do it. Look for it on launch day alongside the system.
