Two games that were on Nintendo systems of the past jump back into the spotlight this week.
This week on the Nintendo eShop, we have two classic games that people have been asking about for quite some time. One is available on the Wii U Virtual Console and the other is available on the 3DS Virtual Console. Without further delay, let’s get right into it.
The game available on the Wii U Virtual Console didn’t have that much “word-of-mouth” online traffic about it. The masses knew around the time when it was coming out but then July 18th came and there it was. If you haven’t figured it out by now, the game is Earthbound. Earthbound was a classic RPG game for the Super Nintendo starring Smash Brothers star Ness. Long story short, aliens have landed on Earth and are up to no good. Can Ness and his friends save the world? Download the game for 10 bucks and find out.
The other classic game was on the Game Boy Color and was a sleeper hit. The game comes from the guys at Wayforward Technologies who are working on Ducktales Remastered as we speak. The year was 2002 when Shantae was originally released for the GB Color. Shantae needs to protect Scuttle Town from the nefarious Pirate, Risky Boots. Shantae, a genie, will have to learn different “Dance Magic” to protect the people of Scuttle Town. Grab the game for 5 dollars and give Shantae a hand!
