A new addition to the Netflix app for PlayStation 3 can turn your next movie selection into a fun little game.

If you’re one of those movie-watching PlayStation 3 owners who just never knows what they want to watch, Netflix may have a solution for you.

Jackbox Games, the developer behind the quirky game-show-esque game You Don’t Know Jack, has unveiled their latest project: a newly integrated Netflix app their calling “Max.” Much like You Don’t Know Jack, Max will allow Netflix users to play a sort of “You Don’t Know Jack-lite” game in which users will be able to pick from a variety of different categories such as actors and genres and then based on their choices, Netflix will recommend a movie that the user can either begin watching immediately, add to their queue, or watch a 30-second clip of.

According to Netflix, the idea behind Max was actually conceived way back in 2007 (back when Jackbox Games was still known as Jellyvision) when the two companies did some internal testing together. Full-scale development of Max began in 2011 and now Jackbox Games and Netflix are ready to release it to the public.

Initially Max will only be available via the PlayStation 3 Netflix app but Netflix has confirmed they’re planning on bringing it to other platforms in the near future.
