New Pokémon and a new gym leader from the Kalos region.
The Electronics and Entertainment Expo saw its fair share of Pokémon news but that isn’t stopping the Pokémon Company from bringing out new details pertaining to the newest games coming out in October. Let’s get right into the details.
The Kalos region is the newest region in the Pokémon universe and during the Developer presentation; Mr. Masuda said that the region is based on France. It seemed that he didn’t want to reveal that information but it was pried out of him. Anyway, the region will have new cities and towns to explore as well as new gym leaders to battle and defeat. The first town in the games is VanivilleTown, the town where your journey begins. Take the usual first steps outside your house and you meet your four, that’s right four, friends who will become a part of your Pokémon journey. They are Shauna, Tierno, Trevor, and Serena (if you play as a boy) and Calem. (If you play as a girl)
Shauna is going on a journey to find herself a cause to follow. She is a very energetic girl who just loves the idea of an adventure. Tierno is a dancer and wants to create a Pokémon dance team. He is too caught up in making everything dance related and that hurts him in battle. Trevor is the student of the group and is curious about things. He is very competitive and wants to finish the Pokedex first. Your neighbor, either Serena or Calem, wants to be a very strong Pokémon Trainer and sets out on the journey to do just that.
