Rayman Legends will hit most major systems on September 3rd in the US.
Ubisoft's four player platformer Rayman Legends has faced some major delays, but the game is still coming and its on its way to more devices than previously thought.
Initially marked for release as an exclusive Wii U launch title, Legends was delayed a mere month before its November 8th, 2012 release date so that the company could put the title on both the Xbox 360 and PS3. Thanks to the ports, the game was delayed almost a full year, with its new release date being September 3rd, 2013.
It seems that Ubisoft may have had a little more extra time on their hands for development, because today the company revealed a PS Vita release was in the works as well.
The Vita release will feature exclusive content in the form of two new character costumes, based on both Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell, exclusive levels and touch screen capabilities similar to the Wii U release.
At this point, it does not surprise me that Ubisoft is porting the game to as many consoles as possible. After ditching the exclusivity, probably for monetary reasons, I would have been surprised if Ubisoft didn't ported it to every console on the market.
Regardless, the game looks as good as ever and Rayman Legends should be on everyone's wishlist.
