Nathan Hermanson has been gaming and writing since he was a wee child. For some reason, he always felt the two events were mutually exclusive. Writing was writing and gaming was gaming. When it came time to choose a career, he floundered around before realizing that his two passions could actually be combined. Since then, he has worked on multiple websites, both as a freelance writer and as Editor-in-Chief. Nathan loves point and click adventure games and games that take risks.

Yeah. He's one of those guys.

Warner Bros and Techland add some parkour to their zombie slaying in their new title, Dying Light, coming to nearly all systems.

Techland, a veteran game studio from Poland, has found relative success in the zombie gaming market. Their first foray into the genre, Dead Island, promised to be the open-world zombie game that gamers had been waiting for. With the promise of having a mash-up of features from games like Dead Rising, Far Cry, Left 4 Dead and Fallout, Dead Island had some big shoes to fill.  Upon release though, the game underwhelmed and gamers hopes were dashed once more.

Enter Dying Light.

Dying Light is Techland's latest stab at the zombie open-world genre, and this time out they plan to have a little more hidden up their sleeves. From the dynamic day-night cycle which forces the gamer to scavenge in the day and survive at night, to the entirely new free-running mechanic which will help gamers traverse the game's dangerous landscape, Techland, and their publisher Warner Bros, seem to be right on track for a big hit.
