The ESA named the five finalists for the E3 College Game Competition.

“We are extremely pleased with the impressive array of talent demonstrated by the E3 college competition submissions and our chosen finalists represent the most promising and innovative submissions as determined by our industry veteran judges,” said Rich Taylor, senior vice president of communications and industry affairs at ESA. “Our goal is to nurture the next generation of industry talent and our finalists have earned their place among the stellar line-up of top industry companies that will unveil exciting news and products at E3.”

This promises to be a banner year for E3 with major new console announcements creating heightened industry buzz and anticipation. E3 2013 is also attracting new exhibitors as the interactive entertainment industry expands, including Advanced Micro Devices, DreamWorks Animation, Plantronics, and SAP.

Making its E3 debut will be the Online and Mobile Game Pavilion - an area specifically designed to help exhibitors demonstrate the latest in social and mobile gaming and related products. Featured participants include Capcom, Electronic Arts, Nvidia, Sony PlayStation and Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment.
