I take a trip to a couple of local places to see what I can find -- and there's plenty.
My next stop was a place called All C's Comics & Collectibles, over off of Abilene. Although this is a much smaller shop than Enchanted Grounds, it's got a wide range of collectibles from the comic and sci-fi worlds. It offered a few free comics as well, along with stacks of books that were on sale and plenty of collectibles, including an Aardman Batman and Robin figurine set and plenty of Star Wars goodies. I swear, one day that AT-AT will be mine. I also noticed Denver Comic Con presence at this shop as well.
So my tour of duty didn't go through ten shops like most other folks did today, but there was still plenty of goodness to go around, and I picked up a couple of neat collectibles to add to my growing collection. Overall, Free Comic Book Day continues to be a success, not only showing the widespread love for the community, but also plenty of hype for what will be the biggest Denver Comic Con to date.
