According to online reports, the latest Call of Duty game sold 11.22 million copies worldwide in its first week with Xbox 360 leading the charge.
Modern Warfare 3 sold 7.5 million copies on Xbox 360 in its first week, which was 1.29 million more than Black Ops II. The PS3 version sold 5.38 million units, or 770,000 more than the new Black Ops. The PC version sold 477,971 copies, which was 77,112 more than the Black Ops sequel. Either way, Activision still owns the record.
The horribly reviewed Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified game for PS Vita sold a scant 119,000 copies in its first week.
The Wii U version of Black Ops II did not ship until November 18 and was not included in the first week sales figures.
