Our in-depth preview of Injustice: Gods Among Us.
Could we possibly see a Teen Titans revival?
Injustice embraces its comic book elements, and goofy nature. Ending a match peacefully could be an option, but pummeling your nemesis into the ground or throwing him into the sky over Krypton demolishing him in the process is how character in Gods Among Us handle themselves. The way NetherRealm Studios captures this is how you interact with environment. In a battle you can pick up objects and throw them at your opponent. Most of the items will be floating over the arena, requiring you to jump to activate them. All the levels in the game have their own layers in the game. For example knocking any character in Batman's Batcave leads to another area where you can fight.
Now you may be asking, “what else is there to do besides single–player content?” It has learned a great deal from Mortal Kombat, and has made he multiplayer environment a much more addicting habitat. Every time you fight you earn experience points, which unlocks new gear for your favorite fighters.
I am enjoying NetherRealm Studios take on our favorite D.C comic book series. While it dose instill many elements from the latest Mortal Kombat installment, it’s a successful formula that works for Injustice: Gods Among Us. It knows what its audience wants, and it so far it delivers on everything it promises.
