It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Plays, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually, it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. This time we're looking at Security 51 on Steam.
If you have played a game liked Papers Please then you have the general idea of Security 51. You play the role of a guard at a top-secret base who decides who gets in a who doesn't. Sounds simple enough right? Well, there's more to it than that. You have to be able to think on your feet. The first few days are pretty simple, but when more things get added to your plate, the game gets much tougher.
For example, there are different rules on each day. You have to know what they are because some of those rules supersede the regular rules. A person might have an id card with the wrong number but have health anomalies they might get in on a technicality. You also have to stay sane and non-hungry. Luck for you your getting a salary for this job so you can buy stuff at the end of your shift.
I was having a fun time playing Security 51 and then we got to the day where they added temperature readings and sick people in the elevators. I didn't really have a clue what I was trying to do with the temp readings and thought I knew what I was doing with the elevators, but I was wrong. You get fined by not following the rules and there are plenty of them.
It's an interesting idea that rules change every day and you get new tools to help you, like the old-school polaroid camera to detect things. I think if I played longer the temp reading and the elevator would come as second nature, but it does take some getting used to.
