Lucky Slots!
It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Plays, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually, it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. This time we're looking at Slot or Not.
This game is an interesting take on the deckbuilding roguelike genre. To start out, you play the role of Bun Dorian to start and his faithful slot machine, Slottie. Along thew way, you have to figure out how to take down all the vile rogue fruit that has taken over your land. You can pick other characters with different playstyles . One example is Dr. Payton, the nurse, who is dubbed "Easy Mode" by the game. I think that's because she heals hit points after every battle.
The main way to attack is by putting tokens into Slottie and using them for battle. You might get better damage on your sword if you get duplicates during the roll. You could also get better weapons at certain spots along the map. Be careful though as some of these items/weapons have limited use. You can also attack and have added effects like bleed or poison so plan accordingly. I really like the way this game looks and sounds. It has a real nice charm to it and fans of the deck builder and roguelike will want to check it out!
