The Curse!
It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Plays, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually, it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. This time we're looking at Cathedral Crows Curse on Steam.
Cathedral Crows Curse is a game that takes place in the Cathedral universe but has a different story. Fans of the Metroidvania genre will want to check this one out. It relies heavily on combat and fighting mechanics. Get really good at the parry system and you'll have no problem. OR you could do what I did, get good at parrying except on one type of enemy and figure out a way around the parry mechanic on said enemy. I really like the dark tone the game sets as we explore. I also like being able to double jump and wall jump. You'll upgrade skills the further you get into the journey so lookout for those.
You also have an upgrade system by finding artifacts. You have to equip these artifacts and then you can upgrade them in a skill tree format as well as spend currency on it. There was a boss fight at the end of the demo but that's when the demo concludes.Make sure you check out the hands-on video below.
