Pluck My Magic Twanger Froggy!
It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Plays, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually, it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. This time we're looking at Froggy Hates Snow on Steam.
You'll have to think on your feet to make it through Froggy Hates Snow. You start out with very little and as you collect gold/resources, you'll be able to build your frog into the best frog he can be. You'll find gold buried in the snow so collect as much as you can. However, you have a warmness meter, so you have to keep track of your core temperature. You have to return to base camp to warm up as well as drop off your collected goods. Upgrading will keep you going in this game so make sure you keep track of what is important to your style of play. I would go with the warmness meter, dig speed, and attack power first. The wagon you can unlock is a godsend because that allows you to collect more gold/loot. Not having to go back to base to drop off is great!
Be on the lookout because you'll find keys strewn about as well. These keys open chests/safes buried in the snow. These will help you in your quest as well. Another thing you'll have to watch out for is enemy attack waves. The enemy numbers will start out small and grow with each wave. Dodge enemy attacks and finish them off for upgrades for your frog. One thing that I hated was finding bombs in the snow and getting seriously hurt from the going off in my general area. It would be nice to be able to roll in the snow, sort of like a dodge roll, and away from that stuff. There were also secret areas that I found the further I went from basecamp but had no idea what I was supposed to do when I found them.
