Pokemon showed off during the Nintendo Direct

Pokemon is one of the bigger properties tied to Nintendo so it's no surprise they show up during Nintendo Directs. The most recent Nintendo Direct was about an hour in length so you knew Pokemon was going to pop up at somepoint. They not only showed up, they brought some cool stuff with them.

Pokemon Legends Z-A comes out next month so trainers won't have to wait long to get back to the Kalos region. There have been a handful of newly discovered Mega Pokemon recently but one has to wonder, what about the Kalos starter Pokemon? Well wonder no longer as Greninja, Chestnaught, and Delfox now have brand new Mega evolutions as these were shown for the first time during the presentation. Pokemon fans always thought it was weird that the main idea of Pokemon X and Y wasn't shared by the starter Pokemon of the region. To obtain the Mega Stones needed for evolution, trainers will have to be promoted through the ranks in online ranked battles of the Z-A Battle Club. It was also revealed that Legends Z-A will have paid DLC, Mega Dimension. Trainers can continue adventuring alongside Team MZ after completing the main story of Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Work with Mythical Mischief Pokémon, Hoopa, to explore mysterious spatial distortions throughout Lumiose City. Discover Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y, electrifying Mega-Evolved Pokémon that are capable of landing devastating blows through amplified electric power.

The other game shown off during the presentation was a life sim Pokemon game named Pokemon Pokopia. Players take the roll of a Ditto who shows off their human side. You get the chance to create the perfect Pokemon paradise. Explore and learn moves from befriended Pokémon to construct unique environments that attract a variety of Pokémon. Collect materials, build furniture, grow vegetables, and design homes for Pokémon. Develop a town that features a day-night cycle synchronized with real-world time, changing weather conditions, and in-game locations with distinct characteristics. Trainers will be able to play Pokopia in 2026 on the Nintendo Switch 2.

I'm a big fan of Pokemon and am looking forward to all the new games coming out.
