Is fighting the answer? Find out in Go Fight Fantastic in this episode of Chichuki Views!
Another day, another Chichuki Views episode. This time, we're taking a look at Go Fight Fantastic on Steam. You're tasked with helping out Bird Planet; sounds easy right? You can build a three person team and fight the monsters in this hand drawn hack and slash adventure. You can play with people online or local so having online mode is a huge plus for Go Fight Fantastic. I mentioned before that the art is hand drawn and it looks great. The characters have their own look and feel and the art adds to that so much. The crew chief is a dog names Bowie so another plus for this game!
You can also build your team of misfits and play solo. Each character has a different feel. Healer, Striker, Archer, and Tank are your options for characters. You can also use meteorite to add different effects to attacks. You can tailor the characters to the way you want them to be. You will want to play with different teams because different enemies are weak to different attacks. You might need a lightning move but the Striker is the only one who can use it.
If you have played a game like Pokemon Unite, then the combo system and mechanics shouldn't be too odd for you to grasp. Characters have different moves and special moves that have cool down timers. The timers aren't too long so you should be able to survive. That being said, there were times when I thought I was hitting an enemy when I wasn't as well as times when I thought I should be able to dodge an attack. I'm not the biggest fan of having dash as an attack with cool down but when you get used to it, it isn't too bad.
Having a test area on the ship to dry run attacks and moves is nice to see. Personally, all games that allow you to build your players the way you want should have an area for testing out moves. I mentioned prior but having online play is a huge plus. Multiplayer games that encourage you to team up with other people have to have online play.
Go Fight Fantastic pulls from RPGs and other action games and uses those elements. Those elements help make the game into something unique and interesting. The art style achieves the same function and I can't forget Captain Bowie! Fans of the genre can expect a fun time!
