Serious games like SimCity EDU are booming and changing the way educators can connect with kids.
TriplePoint will host SXSFedu, a Bay Area edtech mixer featuring a panel discussion of leading entrepreneurs in the education space. The event was organized by TriplePoint’s education technology team, Technapex, and will serve as a precursor to the SXSWedu conference in Austin. SXSFedu will bring together investors, executives and entrepreneurs in a happy hour event for those who can't make SXSWedu, as well as people interested in meeting other attendees before the conference. The event will take place on Monday, February 25, 2013 at Parisoma, an event venue located in San Francisco.
Attendees of SXSFedu will enjoy drinks and appetizers followed by a panel discussion consisting of influential individuals from established and up-and-coming edtech companies who will discuss innovations and challenges in the education technology space. Moderating the discussion will be Tina Barseghian, tech guru and editor of KQED’s Mindshift, a news site launched by NPR dedicated to education technology.
Participating panelists include:
Crystal Hutter, Chief Operating Officer at Edmodo
Nate Kimmons, VP Enterprise Marketing at lynda.com
David Straus, Vice President of Product at Kno
