Last week, Amazon Game Studios took Breakaway to the High Seas for an exhibition match between pro teams Echo Fox and Rogue in partnership with the Royal Dutch Navy, Red Bull Esports, Razer and AMD.
The teams went head to head in an epic throwdown aboard the HNLMS Holland, the first-ever competitive match held on a battleship at sea. After an intense, hotly-contested battle, Team Rogue’s quick reflexes and teamwork sealed the victory with the winning goal against Echo Fox.
Breakaway is a team battle sport that blends the speed, strategy, and teamwork of sports in a competitive multiplayer action game. Breakaway is being developed with constant feedback and input from the community, and this latest build features dozens of changes based on feedback from the game’s Alpha test.
