Actor Tom Hardy will step into the iconic role of Sam Fisher in Ubisoft’s big screen adaptation of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell video game franchise. Ubisoft Motion Pictures has also enlisted Eric Singer to write the screenplay for the movie.
Ubisoft continues to change the way Hollywood approaches video game movies. On the heels of the Assassin's Creed movie comes Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell. Actor Tom Hardy will step into the iconic role of Sam Fisher in Ubisoft’s big screen adaptation of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell video game franchise. Ubisoft Motion Pictures has also enlisted Eric Singer to write the screenplay for the movie.
Tom Hardy is Sam Fisher
Hardy is a highly-versatile actor whose recent work includes the critically-acclaimed roles of iconic villain Bane in The Dark Knight Rises and con man Eames in the Academy Award-nominated Inception. He recently starred in Lawless, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, the boxing drama Warrior, and the thriller Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. He will next be seen in the lead role of Mad Max: Fury Road.
Eric Singer wrote the Black List script American Bullshit, which David O. Russell will direct with Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper and Jeremy Renner set to star. Singer’s previous credits include the thriller The International.
