Visceral Games and Electronic Arts Inc. announced today that the game everyone is looking forward to, Dead Space 3, has finally hit store shelves. Dead Space 3 is adding things to the series such as a drop-in/drop-out feature and an all-new weapon crafting system. The game looks like it is being received well internationally. It was also announced today that players will be able to add to the game with DLC starting in March. The Dead Space 3 Awakened DLC will add to the game with some of the darkest material to date for the series. The pack will set you back about 10 bucks or 800 Microsoft dollars.
“With Dead Space 3 our goal was to evolve the franchise bringing in innovative new features like drop-in/drop-out co-op, weapon crafting, and an engaging atmosphere while still retaining the incredible suspense, horror, action and sound that the series is known for,” said Steve Papoutsis, Vice President and General Manager of Visceral Games and Executive Producer on Dead Space 3. “Gamers are going to be thrown in and out of space, taken to a violent new ice planet and allowed to explore several different abandoned spaceships and caves. But we’re not stopping there. In Dead Space 3 Awakened, gamerswill experience some of the most disturbing content they have ever seen in a Dead Space game – they are going to love it.”
The third installment looks to show the players just how everything came to be in the Dead Space universe. From how the infestation started to just who the Makers are. You’ll be able to play the game with a friend using the drop in/drop out co-op mode while playing the story mode. The game has so much to offer and adds so much to the Dead Space franchise.
