505 Games and independent game developer Rebellion revealed today that they are bringing the hit game, Sniper Elite V2, to the Nintendo Wii U. Players will be able to guide Karl Fairburne around but there will be a different feel to guiding him around with the Wii U Gamepad. You’ll be able to keep track of items and people on the Gamepad as well as keep an eye on the blast radius of explosives. The game puts an emphasis on anticipation and keeping an eye on the surroundings. The “Kill Cam” will be back in this version and will show in X-ray fashion where the bullet entered the victim. With the Gamepad, you should be able to set up that perfect shot much easier now. The game will be released for the Wii U this spring.

Jason Kingsley, CEO of Rebellion said “Sniper Elite is just the kind of mature game that is perfect for the different mechanics of the Wii U system. It’s been a challenge to get it right but thanks to our team and the fantastic support of our partners at 505 Games we believe we’ve brought the unique game play to a whole new platform.”
