EA and Criterion Games made the announcement today that Need For Speed Most Wanted is making its way onto the Wii U. You'll be able to play the game with the gamepad as well as on it.

EA and Criterion Games made the announcement today that Need For Speed: Most Wanted is making its way onto the Wii U. It will be pulling into the Wii U garage in the US on March 19th and Europe on March 21st. There will be a brand new co-op mode called Co- Driver. One person will use the Wii Remote/Wii U Pro controller and the other person will use the Gamepad to navigate and assist on a real time map.  The Gamepad can distract the cops as well as switch the time of day. The game can be played entirely on the Gamepad.

The game has the Ultimate Speed Pack, which has some pretty fast, badass cars for players to use. The Venom GT Spyder, and the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport are just some of those badass cars. Autolog 2, the game’s online tech, automatically tracks best track times and high scores. These stats will be sent online for the world to see, as well as your friends to see how better you are then they are. Autolog 2 gives you an alert when someone knocks you off the top spot. You can also play multiplayer online and earn Speed Points. Anything to add to the fun of beating your friends and that’s the best part of playing online. The game will be 59.99 in the US and 69.99 in Europe.
