Trion Worlds opened the closed beta for Warface, the free-to-play shooter today. The game is being made with cooperation Crytek GmbH. The game is accessed through Crytek’s Social Entertainment Platform, GFACE. The point of GFACE is to allow players to play games with friends live and discover things/entertainment content. The Beta servers will be open from January 17th at 9 Am Pacific time and will run until the launch in the spring. The game features intense first person shooting and competitive multiplayer action.
“Trion Worlds and Crytek have been working closely to bring Warface to Western players looking for a first-person shooter with striking graphical detail and unsurpassed game play – for free,” said Dirk Metzger, General Manager Publishing at Crytek. “We look forward to making the experience even more engaging as waves of pre-registered players are invited to join the Closed Beta and play their part in shaping Warface ahead of its final launch.”
