Sony served up seven MLB All-Stars and fans voted the Pirates slugger to be the cover athlete of the only baseball video game this year.
With 2K Sports out of the baseball video game business, Sony has the spotlight all to itself. And Xbox 360 fans have no baseball game. Sony connected with its PlayStation 3 and PS Vita fans this year by introducing a cover athlete content. Seven MLB All-Stars were chosen and fans voted for their favorite. Pittsburgh Pirates slugger Andrew McCutchen emerged victorious with 108,148 votes.
The New York Yankee CC Sabathia came in second with 89,056 votes, Detroit Tiger Miguel Cabrera tallied 76,740 votes, Los Angeles Dodger Matt Kemp earned 72,467 votes, Washington National Bryce Harper got 42,542 votes, San Francisco Giant Buster Posey earned 31,508 votes and Minnesota Twins Ryan Braun came in last with 13,153 votes.
MLB 13 The Show ships for PS3 and PS Vita on March 5 just in time for Spring Training.
