D-Link Wi-Fi AC750 Dual Band Range Extender Review
D-Link Wi-Fi AC750 Range Extender (DAP-1520) is a powerful range extender that supports 802.11ac. The typical range of Wi-Fi has a radius of three rooms in a house with heating and cooling ventalation ducts. However, with the D-Link I was able to double my coverage area and maintain a consistant internet speed throughout my whole home.
The DAP-1520 operates on 802.11ac and is backward compatible with 802.11b/g/n. It offers dual-band connectivity for better flexibility and reduced interference from other neighboring Wi-Fi signals in your locality.
With a bult in wall plug, the unit is compact, portable, and does not need extra power wires or adapters.
There are multiple ways to quickly configure the device. Adding it to my existing wireless network was as simple as pressing the WPS button on the DAP-1520 and my wireless access point. If my router did not support WPS, I could have used the Quick Router Setup Mobile® (QRS) application on my Android or IOS device or run D-Link's setup wizard from a personal computer.
Most importantly, D-Link's range extender offers support for WEP, WPA, and WPA2 security.
The D-Link Wi-Fi AC750 Range Extender is a good choice for those who want to maintain consistant wireless 802.11ac speeds throughtout their home.
