Let Jabra astound you with how light and stylish stereo wireless ear buds can be.
JABRA ROX WIRELESS
Widely known for its wireless speakers and Bluetooth headsets, Jabra has recently introduced its new stereo Bluetooth headset – Rox Wireless. This latest headset comprises of many functional and impressive features. Let us checkout whether all features are as exciting as they claimed.
Sound Quality
When listening to music using Rox, I found the large sized silicon ear tips very useful. The ear tips worked as good seal to block ambient noise effectively. The sound is well balanced and handles tight bass with nice dynamic levels. If you are an audiophile and need that something extra, there is Jabra’s sound app which provides a complete Dolby experience with heavier bass. In addition, the app included an equalizer to further adjust the sound. You can also create playlists, share music and enjoy more personalized music experience through the Jabra sound app.
Unforunately, the audio quality for phone calls were less then desirable. People on the other end said the voice sounded soft. I avoided making calls outdoors since it picked up a lot of ambient noise.
Auto Pairing
Initial pairing was quick and easy with NFC. Afterward, it automatically connects with the Bluetooth device when powered up. After my workout session I simply clip the ear buds together to stop the music and conserve battery. To play the music again, just separate the ear buds and the device will automatically connect.
Comfort
Jabra Rox comes with a variety of EarWings and EarGels to provide the user with comfortable in-ear stereo ear bud experience. I have experienced a perfect fit with the ear gels. The comfortable ear wings are an added advantage which helps ear buds from slipping out. The ear wings easily fitted under my ear ridge. This allowed prolonged use without discomfort. The ear buds are designed clearly for outdoor usage as they are highly weather, dust resistant, and sweat proof.
Battery Life
When it comes to battery life, it consistently lasted 5 hours. Jabra gave it a standby time of up to 432 hours and a music play time of 6 hours.
Controls
The headset offers inline controls and call management features such as multi function button for play or pause music, answer a call, reject a call, redialing last number (double tapping the button), volume control buttons, mute feature and power saving magnets adds up the functionality of a standard headset. The button took a little getting use to as I had to firmly press it for it to engage.
Packaging
The package includes three sets of ear tips, EarWings in three sizes, micro USB charger and a convenient pouch for storage.
Conclusion
Jabra Rox Wireless is a good choice for active people with its wireless and weather resistant features.
