Rayman Is Back And Brings Yet Another Amazing Platforming Experience

I am a huge gamer and love all types of electronics. I try to see all that gaming has to offer and play many different types of games. Although I enjoy playing videogames, I also like lending a hand in making them.  I am currently studying game arts and design.

Great platforming, amazing artwork, overall a fun experience.

Rayman Legends throws you into crazy world of fun puzzles and astounding visuals. Rayman Legends is played through multiple campaigns and each campaign is comprised of about 10 or so levels each including a special character level. The entire single player can be completed in about 12 hours. However the replay value is absolutely great. I caught myself going back and completing every level again. Trying to get that high score.

Rayman Legends offer some really solid and smooth platforming gameplay. Creating combos and trying to beat a level in record time has never been more fun. Fast paced puzzles and huge 3d boss fights gives this game more of an edge.

The sheer amount of content in the game is amazing. The more and more I played the more I find little things I can unlock or little secrets I missed while playing through the first few playthroughs. Many games today have been lacking the replayability that Rayman Legends has nailed down. This game has many challenges to keep players busy even long after the single player campaigns. The currency collected throughout the game is called Lums. With Lums you unlock various additions to the game. Such as characters and more challenges.

The online sections of the game add an some extra element to the game. It adds daily and community challenges. Compete with friends to get high scores and try to receive more Lums for completing the chalenges. If you set a score in a community challenge and you manage to maintain that score for the entire duration of the challenge you will get a Lum bonus when the challenge is over. This is a fun way to try to knock your friends off of the leader boards. The only downside I see to the online section is the very small amount of competitive multiplayer. If the game offered a few more varieties of competitive multiplayer game modes then it would be much better for people who enjoy playing with buddies.

Final thoughts about Rayman Legends, the game is extremely fun and has a ton of replay value. The game has what a lot of games today are lacking. The amount of content is outstanding and you are definitely getting your money's worth. The game is long enough to stay fresh and keep you coming back. The gameplay is fun and never dulls up. The one issue is not having enough competitive multiplayer game modes but this can easily be fixed with future DLC. Other than that, the game is extremely fun and highly addictive. Definitely a must buy.

Score: 8.5 / 10
