In spite of difficulty spikes, this stealth/action game will easily steal your time – and your friends, too.
Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine from Pocketwatch Games is one of those Xbox Live Arcade titles that's been dwelling at PAX events for the past couple of years, garnering a good amount of attention while leaving people asking, "When's it going to come out?!" But we kept our patience, knowing that this criminal-oriented stealth action game would eventually settle on Xbox Live Arcade. And, lo and behold, just in time for summer, here it is.
Upon first glance, you may wonder what all the hubbub is about – or why it goes for a costly 1200 Microsoft points ($15). But fret not, there's value here, a whole bunch of it. And Monaco is one of those games that rewards players whether they're going on their own or along with their buddies in an Ocean's 11-style heist to meet objectives.
The game gives you four criminal types to take on your team – eight to choose from total – and sets you out on missions, where you pick up diamonds, sneak past guards and alarms, and reach objectives. The beginning of the game helps you put together your team, while the more elaborate missions will really test your patience, as you have to do things in a certain way or engage in a foot chase with armed guards – or worse yet, leave one of your team in the dust, forced to replace him or her with someone lesser.
