Runescape's online anniversary came and went. Did you get them anything?

The popular free adventure game, Runescape, is celebrating its 12th anniversary today (the 4th) with help from creators Jagex. There will be in-game events as well as competitions to celebrate the achievement of the game. The game has become one of the longest running games in history. In its 12th year, players have logged almost 500 million play hours. July saw the creation of the 200 millionth account in the history of the game.
Mark Ogilvie, RuneScape Design Director, commented, “2012 was filled to the brim with content updates both large and small. Last year saw flurries of graphical reworks of the popular areas of the game, bigger and better boss monsters, an overhaul of the combat system, new starting areas as well as the challenging task of introducing voice acting into the game. For me, the highlight of the year was undoubtedly witnessing the creation of the 200th Million RuneScape account, which secured the game’s place as the most played online game of all time. But 2013 is going to be even better.”
The developers for the game claim that 2013 will be bigger and better for the series. The game should be and might have to run faster than before and there will be additions of new skills. The celebration of Runescape’s anniversary will have player events held throughout the weekend and should be a great way to celebrate the success of the game.
