Spring update brings new gameplay features
BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. and Webzen Onnet today announced a Spring Update for Winning Putt, their free-to-play, multiplayer PC title now available in Open Beta and launching later this year. The Spring Update introduces a competitive multiplayer game mode, a new out of this world course and the Volero tour with dozens of tournaments that is on par to deliver an immersive gameplay experience.
Starting tomorrow, players can jump into the new Survival Time Attack Mode feature, which pits players against each other in a race to sink their ball in the hole first, testing both their speed and accuracy. Golfers choose between two types of rounds, a beginner round with 10 players, or a Free round with a max number of 20 players. In the Beginner round, players must sink their ball within 45 seconds of the first person, and that time drops to 30 seconds in the Free Round. If a player misses the time limit, they are kicked out of the round but can re-enter by using their in-game Gold. Courses are chosen randomly and players accumulate points after each completed hole. A valuable reward will be given to the top ranking players on a monthly basis. Survival Time Attack Mode is available once players reach level 13.
The Spring Update also brings the Starglen Course to Winning Putt, an exciting interstellar golf course located on another planet. Available for play once players reach level 15, Starglen is a challenging course featuring narrow fairways, varying slopes and scattered small craters creating challenging bunkers. Visitors to Starglen will find themselves teeing off on a serene landscape against a beautiful celestial backdrop.
Lastly, the Winning Putt Spring Update kicks off the Volero Tour, an annual tour leading up to the grand championship, with over 30 tournaments split across four seasons. Each season will feature a special event tournament that occurs simultaneously with an event such as the Sakura Pro-Am; winners of these types of tournaments will be rewarded with exclusive items to showcase on the virtual green. The tour begins tomorrow and runs through September 2016.
