Mozbii Color Picking Stylus Review
The Mozbii Color Picking Stylus is the first one of its kind, developed specifically for kids, although kids of all ages would have fun with this creative device. If you think coloring with crayons was fun, wait until you check this stylus out.
The Mozbii is compatible with the iPad 3 (and later), iPad Air, iPad Mini and the Android 4.3+ with a Bluetooth LE Tablet and are packed with tons of features that makes it appropriate for little ones as young as two years old. The stylus has a "lollipop" like shape with a bendable neck. The Mozbii's RGB color sensor is located on one side of its head, with a color-picking button next to it that's easy to use.
Kid FriendlyUsing the Mozbii Color Picking Stylus
To use the stylus, children simply need to press the "Lollipop" shaped head against an object, which puts the appropriate amount of pressure on the color picking button to initialize it, making it easy for even toddlers, who've limited motor control, to use it. Once they choose a color, it's automatically saved in the Mozbii’s app the child's using. Next they'll be able to use it to fill in coloring pages or just doodle to their hearts content.
Youngsters between the ages of 3 to 12 will be able to draw freely on compatible tablets. Since the neck of the stylus is flexible, it will work on all "capturing" surfaces. When the child has finished playing with it, they can attach (it's sticky) their Mozbii stylus to any metal surface like the refrigerator for safekeeping.
Identifies in an Impressive Variety of Colors
The Mozbii stylus identifies over 65,000 different, real world colors - awesome! For example, the sensitivity of Mozbii’s RGB color sensor lets the user capture several shades of yellow and from a peach, or if they like, they’ll be able to create their own palette by gathering together their favorite toys and them with their stylus.
Fun AppsEasily Charged
The stylus features a magnetic charging connector head and has a battery life of 2 months (in use), or 6 months in standby mode. The actual charging time is 3 hours and it's so easy that even a toddler can do it.
You'll need to download one of the Mozbii apps to use the stylish and they're all great including the Mozbii Coloring Book (using either the stylus or hand modes), Mozbii-Fruit (fun fruit line art), Mozbii-ABC (fun way to learn their ABC's) and Mozbii-Band (play music with an interactive octopus, using a drumhead and different color keys). Once the child has finished creating, we can send their masterpieces via email, or share them with friends via the Ufro cloud, Weibo or Facebook.
One of the primary things that I like the most about Mozbii is that it encourages youngsters, who are spending more and more time on tablets, to explore their surroundings. This unique stylus and its fun apps would also make a great learning tool for pre-kindergarten classes. Bottom line, the Mozbii Color Picking Stylus is well worth the price ($100) and even the grownups will want to get in on the fun.
