The Tile Bluetooth Tracker Review
How many times you lost your keys or other personal items and struggled to find it in time? I would walk around trying to retrace my steps hoping to jog my memory.
Meet Tile, a small Bluetooth tracker that makes you feel like a hunter. With Tile, you will never lose your smartphone, keys, bicycle and anything that is tagged with Tile.
Tile is a square shaped small bluetooth gadget with rounded around the corner and a keyhole so that you can use it with keys. Currently, it only comes in white. It is also water resistant and last for a full year of use, thanks to the very efficient battery system. Tile utilizes the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate between the smartphone and the Tile with a maximum range of 100 ft.
How does it work?
Tile relies on Bluetooth to communicate. You need to install a simple app (available for both GooglePlay and AppStore). It takes less then 5 minutes to register with their cloud service and begin fully utilizing Tile.
Finding Stuff With Tile
All you need to do is "Ring" the Tile. If Tile is in glued to the back of your Nintendo 3DS, for example, it will start to ring, providing you a hint on where your is your device. But, what happens when you lose your smartphone? Just double tap the Tile and it will start vibrating and ringing your smartphone, even if your smartphone is in silent mode.
Perhaps our most popular use of Tile has been to notify us when our luggage is on the baggage carousel.
What happens if your lost Item is beyond the 100 ft Limit?
You have a bicycle and it is lost. It’s a good thing you remembered to tag Tile to the bicycle. To start the search, you need to tell Tile cloud service that your item is lost.
And, the cloud service will start looking for your lost item (in this case, bicycle) by sending information to all the tile users. If anyone of the Tile users come in the range of the bicycle, you will get an alert on your smartphone!
Tile is simple to use with practical everyday applications. It will be a very unique and welcomed gift.
