The company shuts down more games to stay afloat as gamers leave in droves.

Zynga, the game company, this week decided to try and save the company money by shutting down several games that people play on Facebook. People who play the games were sent messages, on Facebook, of the company’s decision to shut the games down. Petville, Fishville, Montopia, and Indiana Jones Adventures are just a few of the games being shut down by Zynga. Stocks have taken a hit at Zynga where they have gone down 83% since last year.
"Thank you for supporting PetVille and for being a loyal player! We’re sorry to inform you that PetVille will be shutting down on Dec 30, 2012,”Also “We appreciate your participation in PetVille as it helped make the game a fun place to meet and war with friends. As a loyal PetVille player, you are eligible for a one-time, complimentary bonus package in one of either Castleville, or Chefville, or Farmville 2, or Mafia Wars or Yoville.” It would appear that Zynga does care for the fans of the games and they want to thank them for their time put into the game.
