Kingston HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset Review
Headsets are one of the last bastions of peripherals gamers can control, unlike controllers and cameras. The headsets provided by the manufacturers lack good audio and offers little in the sense of comfort. Kingston HyperX Cloud II headset comes with all the jazz and oomph that can make any gamer die for it. And, yes it delivers on the sound department as well.
One of the important part of the headset is the advanced USB Audio Control Box. The control box has an inbuilt DSP sound card that makes all the magic. With as single button press, we can tune up the 7.1 audio channel and enjoy the virtual world with the headset.
This amazing audio control box is detachable and you can use the headset without it. This is great for travelers.
The quality of the microphone is far superior then what was provided with my PS4. The Cloud II comes with passive noise cancellation for better gaming and voice call sessions. Testing with Audacity resulted in very rare catch of noise during the microphone use. The mic is detachable and can be used only when needed.
The Kingston HyperX Cloud II Headset is compatible and portable with all the devices that offer a 3.5 mm jack. It can be used with Xbox One if you purchased Microsoft’s Xbox One Headset Adapter (~$25).
I really enjoyed the headset as it offers the right mix of style and functionality. The detachable components add more value to the headset and I would recommend this headset to anyone who is looking for the best gaming experience.
