See what downloadables Nintendo has to offer

This April could be considered the month of digital content for Nintendo as they have quite a few downloadable goodies for the Nintendo fanbase. The DLC adds to your favorite games like Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Brothers For Wii U and 3DS. Let’s get right into it!

The second download pack for Mario Kart 8 was announced when the first park was but we had to wait quite some time for it. Nintendo decided to bump the release date up to April and now players can have fun playing with the Animal Crossing Villager, Isabelle, and Dry Bowser. Players get to test their driving skills on 8 new courses that span all Mario Kart games.  It also adds new vehicles to the mix so you’ll have even more customization options to make your kart the fastest. The 200CC class that was added in the recent update will have you going faster than ever before in a Mario Kart race! You can buy the two available DLC packs for 12 bucks or you can get it separately for 7 bucks.

The DLC for Super Smash Brothers For Wii U and 3DS brings an old favorite fighter back to the roster. Mewtwo was given to Club Nintendo members and soon everyone will be able to purchase the Pokemon to use in both versions of the game. Players will also be able to buy a bundle of Mii Fighter costumes such as Link’s look and the Mega Man X costume. You’ll be able to dress your Mii Fighter in all sorts of costumes and give your opponent new things to worry about when you’re fighting.

Amiibo Tap: Nintendo’s Greatest Bits allows players to play demos of classic Nintendo through their Amiibo figures. You’ll need to download the Amiibo Tap application and then tap an Amiibo and you’re all set. You’ll gain access to many classic Nintendo demos that only last three minutes. The point is to get the next generation of players a chance to play the classics and show them just how good the old school games were. April will  also be when the demo of Puzzle and Dragons Super Mario Edition will hit the eShop so players will be able to give the game a test run and see if they will purchase the full version. You’ll be able to transfer your progress in the demo over to the full version, similar to the Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire demo.
