The best in pop culture hit the Big Apple
Big Apple get ready! ReedPOP, the world's largest producer of pop culture events, has given fans a taste of what to expect at the most anticipated entertainment event of the year, by unveiling the events, panels and screenings schedules for both New York Super Week and New York Comic Con. The inaugural New York Super Week is a city-wide 10-day long festival running from October 3-12 with nearly 150 fan-focused events spread across the city. New York Comic Con will host more than 850 exhibitors and some of the biggest names in entertainment, comics, TV, film and more at the Javits Center, October 9-12.
“Each year we work to make New York Comic Con better and bigger than the year before, and with our introduction of New York Super Week, I can easily say that’s the case this year,” said Lance Fensterman, Global Senior Vice President of ReedPOP. “This is not just a gathering of the entertainment industry’s biggest and brightest; it’s the heart of pop culture and a true celebration of all that New York City has to offer the world.”
ReedPOP has lined up some of the entertainment industry’s most influential studios and comic publishers to give fans access and unbelievable exclusives that can’t be found anywhere else. Entertainment giants including Walt Disney Studios, Marvel Entertainment, DC Entertainment, Warner Bros., AMC, 20th Century FOX, Sony, Cartoon Network, SEGA and many, many more will delight and surprise fans with star-studded panels and revelations. The eagerly anticipated panels will include discussions and special appearances for AMC's The Walking Dead, Walt Disney Studios’ TOMORROWLAND, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ BIG HERO 6, Marvel’s Daredevil and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., DC’s Batman 75th panel, FXX’s The League and FX’s Archer and The Americans, The Karate Kid (30 year reunion panel), Fox Searchlight’s Birdman and much more.
New York Super Week will bring the best in pop culture to iconic New York City landmarks. Marquee events include An Evening with Kevin Smith, StarTalk Live! with Neil DeGrasse Tyson, a concert featuring James Murphy (dfa/LCD Soundsystem) at the Hammerstein Ballroom and the largest video game tournament ever to hit Manhattan with a Dota 2 tournament at Madison Square Garden.
