Hyrule Warriors is shaping up into something a Zelda fan would be proud of!
It was revealed that Ganondorf will be a playable character in the upcoming Zelda-spinoff game, Hyrule Warriors. Hyrule Warriors will be hitting store shelves soon and what better way to gain hype than with revealed details!
Ganondorf wasn’t the only info revealed for Hyrule Warriors. Different game modes and character costumes are just the tip of the revealed iceberg. Adventure Mode has players playing on a grid that looks like a lot like the original Legend of Zelda map. Finish different challenges and proceed on the map! Characters will have different costumes they can wear and Club Nintendo members will be able to download a Ganondorf costume set if they register the game within a month of purchase.
The game pays homage to Mario as well with the Chain Chomp, one of my favorite Mario enemies/items as a weapon. Game Play was revealed as a leveling up system where players can increase hit points while playing in locales familiar to the Zelda universe. The game will also have co-op mode where one player can use the Game Pad and the other will look at the TV screen. Classic elements of the Zelda games will appear as well like rupees or the hookshot.
