Revolutionary new wearable tech launches on June 11 via crowdfunding platform due to global interest from retailers and consumers

Damson, today announced that its revolutionary Headbones wireless headphones are launching via a Kickstarter campaign. The unique design of this new wearable tech – which creates sound by sending vibrations through the temporal bone straight to the inner ear – was due to launch later this year, but has been brought forward due to the global interest generated by its initial announcement at CES.

The innovative design of Headbones allows it to deliver top-quality audio to the inner ear without blocking the ear canals. This means that the potential dangers of wearing headphones while cycling, skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding, running or simply crossing the road are completely eliminated, as the wearer can still hear the surrounding environment.

As well as getting Headbones well ahead of its retail launch, early donators to the Kickstarter campaign will also receive this game-changing product in its Limited Edition carbon fibre finish.

“Kickstarter has proven a successful platform for launching products before they hit retail stores,” says James Talbot, Damson Founder and CEO. “It’s a great opportunity for us to get a really innovative new tech, which we believe will really disrupt the market, into the hands of early adopters and dedicated Damson fans much earlier than originally planned.”

Damson Headbones are compatible with any Bluetooth-enabled device, such as a smartphone or tablet, and users can expect up to ten hours of music from a single charge. When not in use, Headbones can be charged via Micro USB. One version of Headbones has the speaker sitting in front of the ear, while another version, rests the speaker just behind the ear.

Damson Headbones are the perfect sports headphones, and ideal for any situation in which you may need to be alert to other sounds around you. Headbones utilise Damson’s exclusive Incisor Diffusion Technology (IDT), also found on their popular Twist and Jet wireless speakers. For those consumers preferring a completely immersive audio experience, Damson Headbones also provide removable, traditional in-ear buds to create a hugely enjoyable audio experience.
