Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and the Phoenix Wright Trilogy highlight E3 for Capcom this year.

Capcom announced their E3 lineup for this year’s convention at the LA Convention Center. Fan favorite series, like Phoenix Wright and Monster Hunter will be coming with Capcom to E3 this year. From the looks of what games are playable, Capcom is going with the “applications/downloadable” games route this year. Dead Rising 3 for PC was announced before E3 and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite will be downloadable on the app store. The Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy for Nintendo 3DS will be playable and this is one game that the fans have been asking quite some time for. Monster Hunter 4 on the 3DS will be playable as well as Ultra Street Fighter 4 for the PS3.

E3 will also be a “ranking event” for the Capcom Pro Tour, the elite fighting games league. The best of the best compete in the Capcom Pro Tour and will use the most current version of Street Fighter at this years E3 event. Ultra Street Fighter 4 for the PS3 will bring fighters with new animations as well as new fighting locations. There will be 44 combatants fighting and Capcom took fan feedback in determining the final roster. This Street Fighter is being considered the most balanced Street Fighter and will have new modes that will be a challenge for new players and veterans alike.

The Monster Hunter franchise will be well represented at E3 this year with Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will release in 2015 and will have new locations and quests to complete. For the first time, players will be able to team up online on a handheld system to defeat monsters. Freedom Unite has players working together to locate and defeat monsters. Players will want the more experienced fighters on their team because the “deeper/tougher” the combos used, the better the reward will be. HD graphics and touch screen controls will add to the fun.

Finally, the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy will be available on the Nintendo eShop as well as playable at E3. Feel the original games in great looking 3D on the 3DS. The 3D should add to the game when you have to explore crime scenes and grab evidence. Play through the career of Phoenix Wright and climb the lawyer ranks and become the best lawyer, in 3D. Capcom has a lot on their plate for E3 but knowing them, they can pull it off!
