Join Mallo in his Wii U premiere in Pushmo World
Fans of Pushmo, the puzzle game for the 3DS, will be happy to hear that the franchise will be making its Wii U debut with Pushmo World this June. It will be Mallo’s first foray into the Wii U and the first game in the series to be on a non-portable, home system. You’ll be able to download the game from the Wii U eShop on June 19th for 10 bucks and will play just like the 3DS games. Where the Wii U game differs is the addition of World Pushmo Fair, an in-game hub that gives players an easy way to share and download new puzzles. To mark the Pushmo to Wii U news, Nintendo is putting Pushmo and Crashmo on sale starting May 28th and going until June 13th.
Pushmo takes advantage of the 3D from the 3DS very well when it had building/puzzle pieces moving between 2D and 3D. It will be interesting to see how different the game feels without the 3D effects and HD graphics. The Wii U version brings training levels to ease the player into the series and to refresh their skills. Players can also create their own levels and submit them in Pushmo Studio. There are quite a few options for submitting a level to the public, like the QR Code generator or the Pushmo World Fair. The World Fair acts as the main interaction area for the fans. Players will be able to access the Miiverse page from the World Fair as well as get new created puzzles from the developers. Fans can sift through the Pushmo World Fair to find their favorite puzzles!
“Pushmo andCrashmo are two of the most well-received games ever released exclusively in the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “PushmoWorld makes it easy for players to create and share their own puzzles, and it’s a joy to experience Mallo’s colorful world in HD for the first time.”
