Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North finished first on Apple’s Highest Grossing Apps list.

The leader in free-to-play games, Kabam, is having a banner year for the company. Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North finished first on Apple’s Highest Grossing Apps list for 2012. It is uncommon for a company to have multiple games in the top 25 grossing app list and Kabam has done just that. “With more than 700,000 applications in the Apple Store, it’s phenomenal that Kabam’s Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North is number one,” said Kabam Chief Operating Officer Chris Carvalho. “Having three Kabam games in the top 25 grossing apps on both iOS and Android this month is another amazing feat,” Carvalho added.
Kabam has grown their revenue by more than 60 percent over 2011. This was a good year for Kabam where in which they grew their employee numbers as well as acquired companies to help Kabam. The company is trying to bring the best of social gaming and traditional gaming to a larger audience. It would appear that going to the tablet and smart phone market is one of the best ways to do that. If Kabam keeps these numbers up, you should be hearing even more about them in the future.
