Super Mario 3 finally gets added to the Wii U/3DS Virtual Console service.

Easter is this weekend and what better way to celebrate the holiday than with games from the Nintendo eShop. This week sees the addition of one of the greatest games of all time as well as other fun games. There is a lot to cover so let’s get right into it.

Super Mario 3 is considered by some to be the best Mario game in the NES era as well as the best game in the franchise. It saw the debut of the Koopa Kids as well as the raccoon leaf, frog suit, and the hammer brothers suit. Join Mario and Luigi as they travel though the likes of the Pipe Maze and Sky Land to restore order to the kingdoms and rescue Princess Toadstool from King Koopa. The game will be available to download on both the 3DS and the Wii U so act accordingly.

More and more games are being added to the Wii U Virtual Console and this week, in addition to Mario 3, Golden Sun and F-Zero: Maximum Velocity are being added. Golden sun has alchemy being used by the forces of evil and it’s up to you to train and stop them. Will you have what it takes to fight for what is right? F-Zero: Max Velocity will put your racing skills to the test as you’ll need to master 20 different courses, each more challenging than the last. Like I mention every week, the eShop has games on sale and this week is no different. Classic Games Overload will be on sale for 50% off until May 1st. Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag will be reduced to 40 dollars starting April 21st and ZombiU will be reduced to 30 dollars, also starting April 21st.

Also available for download this week: Flowerworks HD: Follie’s Adventure (Wii U eShop), My First Songs (Wii U eShop), Bit Boy!! Arcade (3DS eShop), and Smash Cat Heroes (3DS eShop). Enjoy the games everyone!
