Marty O'Donnell, video game composer who wrote the music for Halo, and Bungie's latest game, Destiny was let go from the project "without cause" on April 11th. O'Donnell broke the news early this morning over twitter. He has been Bungie's long-term music composer scoring every title since the original Halo.
I'm saddened to say that Bungie's board of directors terminated me without cause on April 11, 2014.

Bungie has confirmed the news in a recent blog post stating that "for more than a decade, Marty O’Donnell filled our worlds with unforgettable sounds and soundtracks, and left an indelible mark on our fans " said stated David Dague, Bungie's community's manager. "Today, as friends, we say goodbye. We know that wherever his journey takes him, he will always have a bright and hopeful future. We wish him luck in all his future endeavors." said Dague.
