Yoshi, Mario, and Galaga! It’s gonna be a fun week.
Another week has come and gone so that can only mean one thing, the Nintendo eShop has updated itself and we have some good games to play this week. Yoshi’s New Island launches this week in physical and digital form. Joining Yoshi this week is Super Mario Brothers 2, the one that didn’t make the cut for American audiences until The Lost Levels were brought stateside in Mario All Stars. Mario and Galaga are coming to the 3DS Virtual Console.
Fans of Yoshi’s Island for the SNES will be walking down memory lane with Yoshi’s New Island as it could be considered the sequel the game always deserved. Long story short, Yoshi and Baby Mario are back trying to rescue Baby Luigi. Yoshi takes the form of a submarine or a snow mobile type machine to travel across the new island. Do you have what it takes to save Baby Luigi? One of the other games this week is Super Mario Bros.The Lost Levels or Mario 2. This was what Mario 2 was going to be but Nintendo deemed it too challenging and sent the Mario 2 with Mouser and Wart over to the US. An old favorite of mine is available this week as well and that game is Galaga. Master the two ship combat system as well as shooting all the aliens. Will you have what it takes?
