Gaming social site Raptr has revealed the top 20 most played PC games of 2013.
In a new update on its official blog, gaming-focused social site Raptr has released a list of the top 20 most played PC games of 2013.
For those who may not use Raptr, one of the site’s features allows users to download a free “Raptr Desktop App” which track’s an individual player’s playtime of PC games that are linked to their Raptr account (a user can attach various gaming ID’s such as their Xbox Live gamertag or their Steam account to their Raptr profile and the site automatically detects the games they are playing when using those gaming ID’s.) This game tracking is mostly used to compare a user’s playtime with that of their friends and even allows them to “rank up” in a game by accruing a certain number of hours played and/or in-game achievements.
Naturally this playtime tracking can also be used to determine the most played games on a given platform and Raptr has now posted their list of the 20 PC games that accrued the greatest amount of playtime in 2013. Most of the entries aren’t too surprising; Battlefield 4, DOTA 2, Minecraft, and World of Warcraft are all among the top entries but one notable and somewhat surprising addition is Starbound, the new space sim game from UK indie developer Chucklefish. Since Starbound is currently only available through Steam’s Early Access program (and thus technically not a “complete” game), it must be a happy surprise for Chucklefish to see that it has already garnered enough appeal to become one of the most played PC games on Raptr.
Raptr’s full list of most played PC games can be viewed below.
