In response to the heavy online traffic from Christmas, Nintendo has delayed Pokemon Bank and the Pokemon Transporter apps.
In a non-popular but understood move by Nintendo and the Pokemon Company International, the Pokemon Bank and Transporter have been delayed until further notice. Nintendo and other game companies, like Sony, have been having trouble with online services with the major increase in owners from the Christmas holiday. The Pokemon apps were supposed to be released on December 27th or tomorrow for those paying attention, but Nintendo decided to get a jump on this before it got any worse.
The main reason for the delay is that several people are having trouble setting up their Nintendo Network ID’s as well as making eShop purchases. Nintendo is blaming the large volume of traffic to their online services as the culprit for the online trouble. It appears that Nintendo is working on the problem and should have the eShops back up and running soon.
