Youtube channel Hey Ash, Whatcha’ Playin wins, going to Sundance.
Nintendo held its “Nintendo Video Challenge” contest and has picked a winner. The winning video creator(s) get to go to the Sundance Film Festival and premiere a brand new video based on the Wii U game, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. They will also get to work with Youtube video sensation Freddie Wong to create the DKC video. The winners were from the Youtube Channel, Hey Ash, Whatcha’ Playin and you can watch the winning video here. You can see all the videos created for the contest here.
Some details about the contest: the video was selected as the best from 30 submissions and the creators were hand-picked for their talent/passion for gaming. The contest videos needed to be created in one week and had to loosely based on Super Mario 3D World or the Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Now, HAWP as they go by, will get to create a new video that will be shown off at the Sundance Film Festival on January 16th in the Nintendo Chalet. The festival will have more than just HAWP’s new video, there will be demo stations for festival goers to play some of this holiday season’s best games, like The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds and Wii Fit U, since it is the Nintendo Chalet featuring Wii Fit U.
