Nintendo is using the popularity of Pokemon to sell the 2DS.
The Nintendo 2DS does things that are appealing to parents that don’t want to worry about the 3D effects of the system as well as the issues they could have on young players. The 2DS is an alternative for people who want to play the 3DS games without 3D. Nintendo sees a chance to cash in on the consumers and thus the 2DS Pokemon bundle was born.
Stores are trying to cash in on the consumers this holiday season, like they always do. There will be two store exclusive 2DS bundles available starting Dec. 6th. Target will have the Red 2DS and Pokemon X pre-installed for $150 and Toys R Us (stores and online) will have the Blue 2DS and Pokemon Y pre-installed for $150. These bundles always come out before the holidays and it’s the perfect chance to grab a 2DS if you’re interested.
