It looks like the launch of Battlefield 4's first expansion created more problems than it fixed.

It seems Battlefield 4 players just can’t catch a break. After yesterday’s launch of the game’s China Rising DLC expansion, many users are reporting a number of new issues with the game’s multiplayer.

Now that China Rising is officially available, many PC players who downloaded and installed the DLC are now reporting that they’re being kicked from servers immediately after joining. Those playing on Xbox 360 report that, even after installing the DLC, they still can’t join China Rising-enabled servers.

According to a new support post on EA’s forums, DICE has apparently identified the cause of both problems but it looks like players are in for yet another waiting period as DICE works to fix things: "This fix will take some time to be fully completed, but players should be noticing normal gameplay behavior soon."

Many players are naturally upset at having to put up with an even longer wait after shelling out $110 (China Rising is currently only available to those who purchased the pricier Premium Edition of the game). Many assumed that after the rocky online launch of Battlefield 3, DICE would have been able to get their act together for the new next-gen entry in the series but it looks like those assumptions got them a whole lot of nothing. Here’s hoping DICE also has a plan in the works to make Battlefield 4’s disastrous launch right with their fans.
