Some new DLC is now available for select Battlefield 4 players while the PS4 version has had its patch delayed.

Given its ambitious premise, many fans expected Battlefield 4’s launch to be a little rough. However, despite being out for over a month now, DICE’s latest multiplayer-focused military shooter is still plagued with various problems that have rendered it virtually unplayable for many fans. Despite these problems, EA is sticking to its DLC release schedule with not one but two new DLC packs for the game (as long as you’re a premium member and/or playing on Xbox One).

China Rising, the first of five total DLC expansion packs planned for Battlefield 4, is available now as a free download to those who sprang for the pricier Premium Edition of the game. Those who bought the regular version of the game will be able to buy and download China Rising in two weeks time.

Meanwhile the second expansion, aptly titled Second Assault, was originally only available to those who bought the Battlefield 4 Premium Edition for Xbox One. Now it is available to all Xbox One players though neither EA nor DICE could give a timeframe of when it will be available on other platforms other than “soon.”

Those who aren’t playing on Xbox One and who aren’t Premium members are out of luck for the time being, as are those who were anticipating today’s PS4 patch. According to a new statement released by EA, the patch for the PS4 version of Battlefield 4 which was supposed to fix the game’s stability issues has been delayed in order to conduct further testing. No word yet on when the patch’s new release date will be, but DICE is encouraging players to keep a close eye out for further details. The patches for the PC and Xbox One versions are still on track for this week.
